The plant has a narrow, dense, upright crown about 0.5–0.7 m wide. Young shoots have a red hue, and there are thorns on the branches. The foliage color changes throughout the season: in spring it is yellow or yellow-green with orange shades, in summer it acquires olive-green tones, and in autumn it becomes deep red or crimson.
It blooms in May with small yellow flowers. The fruits are red, although in some descriptions the variety is indicated as sterile. The variety is a sport of the Golden Torch variety and is intended for use in hedges, borders, and container plantings. It possesses good drought tolerance and tolerates urban conditions.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
