The shrub has a compact form and reaches a height of about 0.8 m, with a width varying from 0.4 to 1.2 m. The plant's branches are thorny. Young spring growth is colored with an orange hue, the foliage becomes yellow-golden during the season, and acquires orange-red tones in the autumn.
Flowering occurs in May with small yellow flowers; red berries ripen in August and can persist on the shrub in winter. The variety is resistant to diseases and pests and is not prone to sunburn. The plant is frost-hardy and adapted for cultivation in sunny areas in well-drained soil.
This variety is used in landscape design for creating hedges, borders, container cultivation, and as an accent element in mixed and group plantings.
