The plant is a compact shrub 0.6 to 1.5 meters in height with a spreading, dense crown. A feature of the variety is its decorative variegated foliage, which retains pink-white shades until the end of the growing season, and bright red young shoots.
Flowering occurs in May–June with small cream-white or yellow flowers, followed by coral-red inedible fruits. The plant is characterized by winter hardiness down to -35 °C and resistance to powdery mildew and rust.
The shrub is light-loving and undemanding to soils, but sensitive to moisture stagnation. Due to a slow growth rate of about 10 cm per year, the variety rarely requires formative pruning and is suitable for creating borders, hedges, and container cultivation.
