The variety is a large spreading tree reaching a height of up to 30 meters with a crown width of up to 15 meters. The plant has dark green glossy lanceolate leaves and dark gray bark with reticulate cracking.

During the flowering period, which occurs in June-July, the tree forms fragrant cream-white flowers, and fruit ripening occurs in October. For optimal development, the variety requires well-drained, nutrient-rich acidic soils in sunny or semi-shaded areas.

The tree can show sensitivity to spring and autumn frosts, as well as to low winter temperatures at a young age. The fruits of the variety are edible, which distinguishes it from members of the horse chestnut genus.
