Marrone Avellinese is a local variety of sweet chestnut cultivated in the Campania region. It is a traditional ecotype that forms the basis of production with the Marrone di Serino geographical indication.

The fruits are medium to large in size and have a predominantly rounded, often asymmetrical shape. The seed coat is characterized by a milky-white color. Harvesting in the growing area typically takes place from the end of September to the beginning of November.
