The variety has the synonyms Saint-Jean, Saint-Jean-des-Marais and the clone Cruaud. The tree is characterized by moderate vigor and a semi-erect crown shape, and it enters the fruiting period quickly.
Bud break occurs at mid or mid-late timing. Fruits are medium-sized and characterized by the presence of sugars. The variety is susceptible to anthracnose and has moderate adaptation to growing conditions outside its region of origin.
Used as a fruit-bearing plant, it is also preserved as part of genetic diversity maintenance programs.
