The tree can reach 25 meters in height. The variety is astaminous and requires pollinator trees for fruiting. The onset of fruiting occurs in the 5–6th year after planting; harvesting begins in early October.
The fruits are medium to large in size, with sweet white flesh and light-colored skin with dark stripes. The cupule usually contains one or two nuts. The variety prefers cool mountain slopes and deep, well-drained soils with an acidic reaction; it is sensitive to high temperatures.
