The variety is intended for food use. The onset of fruiting occurs 4–5 years after planting. In terms of fruit ripening, it occupies an intermediate position in its variety group, ripening later than Miquelenca and Clareta varieties, but earlier than the Martinenca variety.

The fruits of the variety are characterized by a sweet taste and high sugar content. Among the four genotypes selected within the framework of the breeding project in the Montseny Natural Park, this variety is the only one that forms male inflorescences. The variety possesses resistance to the main diseases characteristic of chestnuts in the region of origin.
