The variety is a selected local form that has been cultivated for centuries in the Las Regueras district through grafting. The fruits of the variety are distinguished by excellent taste qualities, and the weight of the nuts is such that one kilogram contains about 91 units.

The plant is traditionally harvested in the autumn period. Currently, the variety is maintained in germplasm collections to preserve genetic diversity.
