The variety is mid-early, the period from emergence to harvest is about 90 days. The plant forms an upright rosette of elongated, intensely green, deeply dissected leaves with a prominent white midrib. Plant height reaches 45–60 cm.
The plant is undemanding and quite resistant to adverse conditions and cold; however, with early sowing dates, it is prone to bolting. The leaves possess a characteristic slightly bitter taste.
The variety is used as a salad crop. Young leaves are consumed fresh or after heat treatment, such as stewing, boiling, or frying. The leaf mass is capable of regrowing after cutting, which allows for harvesting several times per season.
