The variety Prodigest is a hexaploid (6n) hybrid intended for forage purposes under meadow use. The plant is characterized by an intermediate or semi-erect growth habit and belongs to early-maturing varieties in terms of the onset of inflorescence emergence.
The variety demonstrates a medium-high or high rate of spring regrowth, as well as a medium-high intensity of regrowth after cutting. Resistance to a complex of leaf spot diseases and rusts of forage grasses is rated as medium.
In the first year of use, the variety shows a medium-high or high green and dry matter yield. In the second and third years, the productivity of the variety remains at a medium-high level.
