The variety is a loose-bunch grass of the tall type with a compact, erect habit. The stems are smooth and soft, green with a purple hue, reaching a height of 92.7 cm. The leaves are light green, slightly drooping, up to 28 cm long.
The plant has medium tillering, intensive shoot formation, and high regrowth capacity. The variety is winter-hardy, drought-tolerant, and resistant to trampling; however, it does not tolerate prolonged flooding. Seed yield is 4–5 c/ha when using crops for 2–3 years.
The crop is used as a forage plant for establishing pastures and for hay or green mass production. It possesses high nutritional values and good palatability for farm animals.
