The variety belongs to aromatic hop types. Its flavor and aroma profile includes fresh notes of lime and citrus fruits, complemented by hints of pine, herbs, and spices. The chemical composition is characterized by an alpha acid content in the range of 5.2–6.8% and a total oil content of approximately 1.3 ml/100 g.

The variety was bred in 1988, and its spontaneous male mutant was subsequently used in the development of the «Magnat» variety. Due to its low bitterness potential, production of the variety was temporarily discontinued, but in recent years it has become in demand again by craft brewers due to its aromatic profile.
