Shrub with a dense, spreading crown, reaching a height of 1.5 to 2.5 meters. Shoots are straight, strong, often with a purple or reddish-brown tint. Leaves are dark green, elliptical, with a serrated edge, turning dark purple in autumn.
Inflorescences up to 30 cm long consist of sterile and fertile flowers. Flowering begins in June and continues until autumn. The color of the inflorescences changes from creamy-white at the beginning to deep wine-purple towards the end of the season. The inflorescences have a honey aroma and are suitable for use as dried flowers.
The variety has high winter hardiness and disease resistance. Thanks to strong shoots, it does not require support. Used in single and group plantings, hedges, as well as in container cultivation.
