The shrub has a compact, upright, and spreading form. Leaves are ovate, acuminate, deep green in summer, and turn purple or dark red in autumn.
Inflorescences are flat or slightly convex, 6–9 cm in diameter, located above the foliage. Flower color varies from blue to pink depending on soil pH. Small fertile flowers are located in the center of the inflorescence, surrounded by larger sterile ones.
Flowering is abundant and prolonged, covering the period from early spring or early summer to August–September. The variety is resistant to late spring frosts. Used in group and solitary plantings, as well as in containers.
