The plant is a deciduous shrub with a broad crown shape, reaching about 1 meter in height and width. The foliage is dark green with a characteristic gloss, turning red in autumn.

The 'lacecap' type inflorescences (corymbose, flat) consist of small blue fertile flowers and larger sterile flowers that change color from pink to blue during the season. Flowering occurs in summer on current-year shoots.

The plant is frost-hardy up to zone 6a. It prefers fertile, humus-rich, moderately moist, and permeable soils with acidity from slightly acidic to neutral, and requires sheltered, wind-protected sites with light shading.

The variety is suitable for private gardens, group compositions, naturalistic plantings, and container cultivation.
