The plant has a rounded or upright spreading habit, reaching a height and width of 90 cm to 1.5 m. The leaves are narrowly oval or ovate with serrated margins, turning burgundy or purple shades in autumn.

Lacecap-type inflorescences consist of central fertile and marginal sterile double flowers. Flowering continues from early summer to autumn. The variety is adapted to USDA hardiness zones 5–9, prefers partial shade and moist soils, and is suitable for cutting and drying.
