The variety belongs to the group of Meserve holly hybrids obtained by crossing Ilex aquifolium and Ilex rugosa. The plant is characterized by a dense, upright, and narrow pyramidal habit, which maintains its shape without regular pruning. Shoots are dense and multi-stemmed.

The leaves are evenly serrated and have a glossy surface and a characteristic bluish-green hue. Over 10 years, the shrub reaches a height of 1.5–1.8 m with a width of about 0.4 m. Young shoots are colored purple.

The variety possesses increased winter hardiness and is adapted to USDA Zone 5 conditions. It prefers sunny locations or partial shade and moist, well-drained soils with a slightly acidic reaction. It tolerates pruning well and is often used as a specimen plant or in decorative groups.
