The variety is the result of crossing the Cox Orange and Geheimrat Dr. Oldenburg varieties. The tree is distinguished by vigorous growth and forms a densely branched crown that requires regular pruning to control growth and maintain yield.
Fruits ripen in early to mid-September, have an average weight of about 140 g and a round shape. The yellow skin is covered with an orange-red blush, and the yellowish-white flesh has a firm, juicy consistency with a harmonious sweet and sour taste.
The variety shows relative resistance to scab and powdery mildew, however, the flowers are sensitive to late spring frosts. The harvest is intended for fresh consumption, as the flesh of the fruits becomes mealy when stored for longer than three to four weeks.
