The Fudzhi Kiku 8 variety is a mutant of the well-known Fuji variety. The trees are medium-growing and possess high winter hardiness, suitable for most zones of commercial horticulture. Resistance to powdery mildew and scab is assessed as medium.

The fruits have a round-oblong shape, smooth skin, and a red or reddish-pink blush. The flesh is cream-colored and characterized by a crunchy, juicy texture, high sugar content, and a sweet-and-sour taste. The apples are distinguished by high transportability and a long storage life in refrigerated conditions.

The variety belongs to the category of self-infertile. To obtain a harvest, the presence of pollinator varieties is required, which can include Idared, Golden Delicious, Gala, Granny Smith, Ligol, or Red Delicious.
