The variety was bred in the late 1930s in Japan. The tree is medium-sized, 3.5–4 meters tall, with an oval or rounded crown of medium density. Harvest maturity of the fruits occurs in October. Winter hardiness is assessed as moderate; the variety is demanding of heat and sunlight.

The fruits are large, weighing 170–250 g, round or round-oblong in shape. The flesh is light cream, firm, crunchy, and juicy; the sugar content is 9–11%. The fruits are characterized by excellent keeping quality: up to 4–5 months under normal conditions and up to a year when stored in a refrigerator.

The variety is for universal use. The fruits are used primarily fresh, and are also suitable for making juices, compotes, dried fruits, and baked goods, in which they retain their shape well.
