The Malinové letní variety, also known as Sommer-Himbeerapfel or Ananas rouge, is often identified with the old Malinové podzimní variety. The tree forms a large pyramidal crown in its youth, which becomes spreading over the years.

The fruits belong to the autumn maturity group; they are harvested in the first half of September and stored until October. The apples have juicy and tender white flesh, are valued for their pleasant taste and attractive appearance, and are suitable for table use.

The variety is sufficiently hardy but requires fertile soils and protected areas, and is suitable for cultivation at altitudes up to 450 meters above sea level. Disadvantages include irregular bearing and susceptibility to canker.
