The variety is a winter one; harvest maturity of the fruits occurs from the end of September to October, consumption maturity from November to March. The tree is medium-sized, reaching a height of 3 to 8 meters depending on growing conditions and rootstock. The crown is semi-open, ranging in shape from broadly rounded to spherical.

Fruits are medium to large in size, flat-rounded in shape. The ground color is yellow-green, covered with an intense dark red or brick-red blush and stripes. The flesh is yellowish-white, firm, fine-grained, and juicy. The taste is characterized as harmonious, sweet and sour, and spicy.

The variety possesses good winter hardiness, corresponding to zone 6. Under conditions of high humidity and cold, it may show susceptibility to scab and fruit tree canker. A characteristic feature of the variety is a tendency towards biennial bearing and a need for crown formation.
