The tree has medium vigor, forming a wide, rounded, semi-open crown. The fruits are medium-sized, oblate-round, having a yellow-green ground color with a pronounced brown-red or bright red blush, often with stripes or mottling. The fruit flesh is light cream, firm, fine-grained, and very juicy.

Harvest maturity occurs from the end of September to October, consumer maturity from November to March. The variety is characterized by good winter hardiness and high resistance to powdery mildew and scab, but is sensitive to late spring frosts, fire blight, fruit tree canker, and collar rot. It is prone to biennial bearing and is demanding of soil fertility and growing conditions.
