The tree forms a large, loose, broad-pyramidal or spherical crown and can reach a height of up to 6 meters. The variety is considered hardy, however, it shows susceptibility to scab and codling moth. The apple tree is a diploid and serves as a good pollinator for other late-blooming varieties.

Fruits are medium to large in size and have a truncated-ovate or truncated-spherical shape. The primary yellowish skin color is almost entirely covered upon ripening by an intense dark carmine-red blush with a possible bluish-violet bloom. The flesh is fine-celled, moderately juicy, and sweet-and-sour in taste.

Harvesting begins from the middle of October, and the consumption period for the fruits lasts from December to March. The fruits are characterized by good keeping quality and resistance to wind, and are used both fresh and for various types of processing, including the production of juice, cider, and baking.
