The Rubinstep variety (sometimes referred to as Rubstep) is a product of breeding work based on the genetic line of the Rubín variety. The spelling Rubinstep is used in official documentation and publications of the breeding institute in Holovousy.

This group of varieties is characterized by a tendency to form long wood. A feature of the agronomic technique is the need for minimal or specific pruning, as intensive branch removal can negatively affect fruiting.
