The rootstock was bred at the Jork research station. Trees grafted onto this rootstock are similar in growth vigor to those on M.9, although they may exhibit slightly higher growth energy depending on growing conditions. The rootstock is characterized by high precocity and productivity.
The plant is distinguished by easier propagation compared to M.9 and above-average winter hardiness. Varieties grafted onto it show good fruit quality indicators. A characteristic feature of the rootstock is high susceptibility to fire blight.
