The variety is a mutant of the Jonagold apple. The fruits have a round shape, a greenish-yellow ground color, and a bright orange-red diffused striped blush, which appears by the end of August. The flesh is firm, yellow, juicy, with a sweet-and-sour taste. The variety is intended for fresh consumption and processing.
The trees require canopy formation and are often grown on dwarfing rootstocks, such as M.9, to control vigor. The variety inherits biological characteristics, including triploidy and high susceptibility to scab, from the parent Jonagold.
