The Pajam 2 rootstock is dwarf and exceeds the standard M9 T337 clone in vigor by approximately 10–15%. Trees on this rootstock reach 35–50% of the size of trees on seedling rootstocks. Due to a weak root system, the rootstock requires mandatory support throughout its life.
It is characterized by high precocity, stimulates good yields, and produces large-caliber fruits with quality coloration. It is distinguished by good compatibility with most apple varieties.
It is sensitive to fire blight and waterlogged soil, while showing some resistance to root rots. It is used to establish high-yielding orchards where slightly higher vigor is required than that of the standard M9 rootstock.
