The P 65 rootstock belongs to a Polish series of rootstocks developed for adaptation to the region's climatic conditions. It is used as a base for grafting apple varieties in order to control their habit, accelerate the onset of fruiting, and increase total yield.
This rootstock is characterized by significant restriction of tree vigor, surpassing some standard forms in this parameter. During trials, varieties grafted onto it demonstrated good fruit quality indicators and high productivity.
During the breeding of the rootstock, special attention was paid to resistance to the main pathogens of the crop, including powdery mildew and scab.
