Rootstock P 22/K is one of the clones of the P 22 series. It is used as a specialized material in nursery production for grafting apple varieties with the aim of establishing orchards with controlled tree vigor.
Comparative studies have established that trees grafted onto this clone exhibit weaker vigor compared to trees on the standard P 22 rootstock. The yield of trees on this rootstock corresponds to their vigor.
Experimental work on studying this rootstock included evaluating its adaptability to climatic conditions, its impact on the general health of the trees, as well as qualitative fruit indicators, such as size, mass, and color intensity.
