The P 63 rootstock, bred by the Polish Research Institute of Horticulture and Floriculture named after Szczepan Pieniążek, is intended for significantly restricting the growth of the scion variety. In scientific research, this form was used to evaluate tree productivity, in particular of the 'Rubin' variety.
This rootstock is used in intensive fruit growing and experimental orchards with a dense planting scheme. Its agrotechnical requirements and effect on scion growth are similar to the characteristics of other super-dwarf rootstocks of the P series, such as P 65.
