The variety belongs to the category of olives with medium-sized fruits. For culinary purposes, it is used for the preparation of Greek-style green olives in brine, and also serves as a monovarietal for olive oil production.

In plant physiology research, the maximum photosynthetic intensity of the variety is about 6 µmol CO2 per square meter per second. In literature, the variety may be mentioned as a synonym or related to the Manaki or Glykomanako varieties.
