Trees of the Conservolia variety, to which the Agriniou type belongs, can reach a height of up to 10 meters. It is one of the oldest varieties, which formed naturally under the conditions of Greece.
The fruits are classified as large or medium, and range in shape from round to oblong. The color varies from light green to black depending on the degree of maturity. The flesh is firm, juicy, and separates well from the pit.
This type of olive is a table variety intended for canning, however, it is also suitable for oil production. The harvest for green olives is collected from mid-September to the end of October. The plants have good adaptation to the climatic conditions of the Aetolia-Acarnania region.
