Variety description

The variety forms a crown with dense branching. The leaves are smaller than those of the wild species and are resistant to sunburn. Flowering occurs in June; the flowers are gathered in hemispherical corymbose inflorescences.

The plant is winter hardy (hardiness zone 4) and undemanding to soil and pH level. It grows well in sunny and semi-shaded areas, with the foliage color appearing more intense in the sun. The variety is tolerant to pruning and suitable for hedges and group plantings.
