The plant is a compact, well-branched and vigorously growing shrub. Its main feature is foliage of a very dark, almost black purple color, which makes this variety one of the darkest cultivars of the crop.
In June-July, the shrub forms inflorescences of white flowers, followed by the formation of decorative red inflated follicles. The variety is adapted to various growing conditions and is well suited for small gardens and for use in landscape design as an accent plant.
