The plant reaches 0.9–1.5 meters in height and width. The leaves are three-lobed with a folded texture, ranging in color from bronze-burgundy to dark purple and wine-red.
Flowering occurs in spring; inflorescences are corymbose, flowers are small, white or light pink in shade. The stems are strong and not prone to lodging.
The variety has high winter hardiness (down to -30°C). Disease resistance is average; infection with powdery mildew, leaf spot, and fire blight is possible.
