The variety 'Sk 46' (Skrzeszowicka) is used as a forage crop and in mixtures for sodding. In scientific research, the variety often acts as a reference sample for genetic and phenotypic analysis, in particular when studying isozyme polymorphism.

During tests for resistance to the nematode species Pratylenchus neglectus, the variety demonstrated a medium degree of susceptibility. Historical data on plant morphological traits require clarification under modern cultivation conditions.
