The tree is vigorous, reaches a height of 5–7 meters, and possesses a broad pyramidal crown. The fruits are very large, weighing 8–12 g, with a heart-shaped, slightly flattened form. The fruit skin is dark red, almost black in color; the flesh is firm and juicy, with a pronounced aroma and a rich, sweet taste.
The variety is of late maturity; the harvest is collected from the end of June to the beginning of July. The plant is self-sterile and requires pollinator varieties. The variety is demanding of soils, preferring warm, well-drained, and humus-rich sites; on heavy soils, it is prone to gummosis and a reduction in yield.
