The tree is vigorous, forming a broad-pyramidal or wide crown. The variety belongs to the late category; fruits ripen from mid-June to early July. The variety is self-incompatible; other sweet cherry varieties, such as Kordia or Hedelfinger Riesenkirsche, are required for pollination.

Fruits are large or very large, heart-shaped; skin color at full maturity varies from bright red to dark red and reddish-brown. The flesh is firm, crunchy, and juicy, possessing a sweet taste with subtle acidity.

The variety is winter hardy and prefers warm, wind-protected locations with fertile, moist soil. Yield is characterized as regular. Fruits are versatile: suitable for fresh consumption, processing into jams and compotes, drying, and preparation of distillates.
