The tree of this variety is characterized by weeping, pendulous branches. The fruits are almost round in shape, sometimes slightly flattened on one side. The skin color changes from dark brown to almost black upon ripening.
The flesh of the fruits is dark red, juicy and melting, possessing a mild flavor when reaching full maturity. The fruit stone is almost round in shape. The ripening period of the variety falls at the end of July; historically, the fruits were used in cooking.
