The fruits of this variety are relatively small, bright red, shiny, and translucent, with semi-pigmented flesh and a sweet-and-sour taste. The tree is low-susceptible to Monilinia and is adapted to the conditions of the Ardennes region. In literature, the variety is also mentioned under the synonyms Griotte de Tihange and Kleine Waalse.
