The variety was obtained by crossing Köröser Weichsel and Röhrigs Weichsel. The tree is characterized by moderately strong growth with upward-directed branches; the canopy is prone to thickening. The variety is self-fertile and distinguished by high, regular yields; flowering is mid-early.
The ripening period occurs approximately one week earlier than the Schattenmorelle variety. Fruits are round-shaped, medium-sized, weighing up to 6.5 g, with firm dark red flesh and colored juice. The variety shows high resistance to Monilinia infection of blossoms and shoots.
