The variety is the result of crossing Ostheimer Weichsel and Früheste der Mark. The tree is vigorous, reaching a height of 4–4.5 meters; however, when using dwarf or semi-dwarfing rootstocks, the height can vary from 1.5 to 4 meters.
The fruits are medium to large in size, burgundy-black in color with dark, juicy flesh and a free stone. The taste is sweet and sour with a distinct aroma. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and various types of processing, including the preparation of juices, jams, and baking.
The variety belongs to the late-maturing group; harvesting takes place in July–August. The plant is self-fertile and characterized by good winter hardiness and endurance.
