The variety is a tree with a spreading crown and good growth vigor. It is a hybrid of Van and Star varieties. The fruits have a heart-shaped or flattened heart-shaped form, the skin is dark red, almost black with a glossy sheen. The variety is suitable for mechanical harvesting without the stem.
The maturity group is early; fruits ripen approximately 22 days before the Van and Bing varieties. The variety is not self-fertile and requires pollinator varieties such as Bing, Rainier, or Skeena. It is characterized by relatively high resistance to fruit cracking compared to a number of other varieties.
