The fruits of this variety have a medium-length stalk and very dark flesh. The taste is characterized as slightly acidic with a subtle sweetness. The ripening period occurs at the end of June.

The variety belongs to a group of cherries known in Italy under the general name visciole. This variety is an ancient one, traditionally used both fresh and for processing, in particular for the production of cherry beverages.
