Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to the group of so-called 'pressed' sour cherries and is characterized by a shrub-like growth habit. Due to its old folk origin, this type may possess significant variability of traits, as it was historically propagated by seeds or suckers.

The plant is self-sterile or partially self-fertile; therefore, the selection of pollinators is required to ensure yield. The fruits are distinguished by a pronounced acidity, which is why the variety is traditionally used for industrial processing, such as the production of juices, jams, and preservation.
