Ujfehertoi furtos
ActivePrunus cerasus L. · Sour cherry
Ujfehertoi Gyumolcstermesztesi Kutato, H
10 August 2026
The variety is a slow-growing tree, reaching a height of 5–6 meters. The fruits are medium-sized, about 5–6 grams, have a round shape and a brown-red color. The flesh is very juicy, of medium firmness, separates well from the pit, and is characterized by a high acid content.
The variety belongs to the late-maturing group, with ripening occurring at the end of July and often being uneven. The plant is self-fertile and bears fruit regularly, however, the yield is lower than that of the Lotova variety. Under conditions of high humidity, the tree can be affected by Blumeriella jaapii, while it possesses increased resistance to Monilinia and shoot desiccation.
