The Vrancean tree is distinguished by low vigor and a pyramidal crown. Skeletal branches are relatively thick and covered with fruit-bearing spurs, with the tree being prone to crown thinning. The variety is self-fertile and demonstrates high precocity, starting to bear fruit in the second year after planting.
Fruits have an average weight of about 4.2 g and a spherical, slightly elongated shape. The dark red skin is combined with juicy red flesh and pink juice. The taste of the fruit is sweet and sour, the content of soluble solids is about 17.3%, and the proportion of the stone in the fruit weight is about 9%.
The variety belongs to the mid-late or late maturity group, with harvest taking place in July. The plant possesses tolerance to Monilinia and Coccomyces. The fruits are suitable for both fresh consumption and industrial processing into juices, preserves, jams, or alcoholic beverages.
