The object is a medium-sized rootstock that restricts the growth of the grafted plant more strongly than the standard rootstocks St. Julien A or Brompton. It possesses high winter hardiness and adapts well to various soil types, including heavy, medium-heavy, and slightly calcareous soils.
The rootstock is characterized by good anchorage, which usually eliminates the need for tree supports. It possesses increased tolerance to infection by Pseudomonas and the causal agents of European stone fruit yellows, promoting early entry of grafted varieties into fruiting, regularity of yields, and good fruit size.
